Data we collect
No user accounts are required to browse constitutions, run searches, or use the compare tool. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising networks.
- Reader preferences (font size, personal annotations, pinned items) are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) — they never leave your device.
- Error reports you submit from the public section save your message, optionally your name and email if you provide them, the reported page URL, and a timestamp.
- Admin users authenticate with a signed session cookie (HMAC, HTTP-only, 8 hours) that only identifies a valid session.
How we use that data
Reports are used exclusively to review and correct the platform's content. We do not share them with third parties, use them for commercial purposes, or link them to external profiles.
Retention
Resolved reports may be retained indefinitely as a change-history record; open reports remain visible to the editorial team while pending. You may request deletion of a report you submitted by writing to the contact email.
Technical cookies
The only cookie the site sets is the admin-panel session cookie, accessible exclusively to authenticated administrators.
Your selections —pinned items, comparisons, and topic or state filters— are kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage), not in cookies, and are never sent to our servers.
